About Us...
Colonial Veterinary Clinic was started as a dog and cat hospital by Dr. Kermit Walter in 1973. In
2004, Dr. Robert Hott purchased the practice and, after a complete remodeling, opened it up to his
"large animal" clients as well. We now service horses as well as sheep, goats, and the occasional
cow or pig. Dr. Hott is a 1984 graduate of the University of Illinois. He is married to Karen, the love of
his life for 34 years, who teaches high school science at Plymouth Christian Academy. They have
three grown children. Dr. Hott is an active volunteer for Christian Veterinary Mission and the Yankee
Air Museum at Willow Run, Michigan
